About the Shamrock Shuffle
All three distance options run on city streets through downtown Springfield, starting and finishing in the same spot. The shorter course covers a portion of the longer route, so the paths share the same pavement and the same surroundings. The Beer Mile follows its own loop nearby, alternating between drinking and running in equal measure.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at Fleet Feet Springfield, with a second window the morning of the race at the start area for out-of-town runners. Post-race festivities begin while runners are still finishing, so there is already a crowd gathered when the later waves come through.
