About the Shamrock Run - North Park
This is a St. Patrick's Day race held in North Park, and the green attire is part of the atmosphere. The course is flat and runs through the park, with several distance options to suit different legs. Costumes are common, and the crowd skews toward families out for a festive morning rather than a strictly competitive field.
Packet pickup is available the evening before the race at a local running store on Kummer Road, with race-morning pickup also offered. Parking is inside the park, deep in from the entrance, near the finish area. There is a hard cutoff for entering the park before the road closes for the race, so arriving early matters.
