About the Semper Fi Strides 5K/1 Mile Walk

The course runs through West Village, a residential development in Scott. The route is relatively flat, and the surroundings feel more neighborhood than trail. Before the longer race goes off, there is a presentation of the Colors, which sets the tone for a morning that leans military in spirit. The race benefits the Marine Corps League's local detachment.

Packet pickup is the evening before at a running store in Lafayette, with race-morning pickup available at the registration tent. After the race, there is food at the finish area, along with a photo booth set up near the course.
