About the Semper Adsum 5k (Always Present)

The Semper Adsum 5K is organized by the Call On Me Foundation, whose mission centers on supporting veteran families through sudden loss or crisis. The name means "Always Present," and that spirit carries through the morning. The event draws runners and walkers alike, with the course set in Royal Palm Beach, and the atmosphere reflects the cause behind it rather than the clock.

Post-race, participants can redeem a drink ticket at Royal Palm Brewery, which is part of the event day experience. The foundation is upfront that proceeds go directly toward rapid assistance for veteran families, so the finish line carries a bit more weight than most.

Common Questions About the Semper Adsum 5k (Always Present)

Will I finish last at the Semper Adsum 5k (Always Present)?

Almost certainly not. Half the 5K field finished slower than 39:59, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:05:14, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Semper Adsum 5k (Always Present) a good first 5K?

It is a small race (54 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 5K, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Semper Adsum 5k (Always Present)?

The 5K winner ran 22:03 while the median finisher took 39:59. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
