About the Sebastian Scream 5K & Haunted Rail Trail

This is a Halloween evening race that leaves the aquatic center heading out along a road corridor toward the interstate before turning back. Costumes are encouraged and there is an award for the best one. The route is flat and paved, and the whole event leans into the season rather than treating the run as the main attraction.

Packet pickup happens the day before at a running store in Vero Beach, with another window on race day both at that store and at the aquatic center before the start. After the race, there is a trunk-or-treat in the parking area and a haunted trail that opens once it gets dark. A Halloween movie plays on a big screen at the pool during all of this.
