About the Seattle Sounders FC Rave Green Run
The course runs through the Seattle Sounders FC training headquarters in Renton, so you are on and around the actual practice grounds of a pro soccer club. The route is flat throughout, which makes it move quickly. A shorter kids' dash runs alongside the main event, so families tend to show up in force. Proceeds go to a foundation that builds small soccer fields for youth free play.
The morning wraps up with a finish-line festival that includes awards and music. The tie to the club gives the post-race area a particular energy, with soccer-themed touches throughout.
