About the K9 Candy Cane 5K Fun Run

The course runs out along the Cedar River Trail, a paved path that follows the river, then turns back to finish at the Renton Community Center campus. Dogs are welcome on the course, and strollers too, so the crowd tends to be a mix of pets and families alongside runners going for a real time. Age group awards go several deep.

Bib pickup happens at the community center the day before, with race-morning pickup available on site as well. The race also runs a pet food drive, so bringing a can or bag of food for local animals in need is part of the tradition.
