About the Scarecrow Run 5k
The course runs through Little Everglades Ranch, a working ranch setting that gives this race a feel you won't find on a road or a park path. It's a chip-timed event with a costume contest alongside the running. The race benefits a local nonprofit museum dedicated to preserving pioneer history in the area.
There is a silent auction and a raffle on site after the race. Parking is available, with a donation appreciated but not required. The start area opens well before the gun, giving you time to settle in before things get moving.
