About the SCAR Superhero Run for Scholarships
The course runs on a USATF-certified route at the Sussex County Fairgrounds, which gives it a wide-open, accessible feel. A good chunk of the field tends to show up in costume, superhero capes and all, which sets the tone early. The fairgrounds setting means plenty of room to spread out before and after the race.
After you finish, there are food trucks, face painting, a bouncy slide, and games on the grounds. It is more of a full morning out than a straight race-and-go situation. Age group awards go deep across the field, so competitive runners have something to run for alongside everyone in a cape.
