About the Veritas Turkey Trot
The race takes place at the Sussex County Fairgrounds, a wide open venue that gives the course a spacious, unhurried feel. It lands close enough to Thanksgiving that plenty of people are still in that holiday weekend slowdown mode. Walkers are welcome alongside runners, and prizes go to the top finishers overall.
Bagels, coffee, and fruit are out after the race for everyone. The event benefits students at Veritas Christian Academy, so the crowd tends to include families and school supporters. Registration opens early on race morning, so there is no need to make a separate trip beforehand.
