About the 1st Annual SC GOLDEN GLOVES 5K
The course runs through the streets of Greer, starting and finishing at Turner Park. It is certified and chip-timed, with turn-by-turn support from the local police department along the way. The route is built for speed, so runners chasing a personal best will find the conditions set up for that.
Packet pickup happens at Boxing at the Depot on Depot Street, on the two evenings before race morning. The race is a fundraiser for a boxing nonprofit, and the top finishers compete for cash prizes, with a state champion belt going to the overall male and female winners.
