The course winds through the Rancho Sahuarita neighborhood and loops around Sahuarita Lake. The terrain is flat and the surroundings are residential, with the lake as the centerpiece. There is also a shorter fun walk option that stays close to the lake. An amphitheater in the park hosts activities throughout the morning, and awards follow not long after the last runners finish.

Packet pickup runs the day before at a running shop in Tucson, with race-morning check-in available at Sahuarita Lake Park. The start area has a family activity zone that runs before and during the race. A post-race celebration area at the park follows the event, and awards for those who miss the ceremony can be collected at that same Tucson shop afterward.
