About the Santiam Canyon River Run
The course mixes trail, pavement, and gravel, so your footing changes throughout. Sections run alongside the Santiam River, and the surrounding scenery is genuinely green and wooded. With several distance options, the field tends to draw a wide range of paces, from people pushing hard to those just moving through the trees at their own speed.
Everything starts and finishes at Snow Peak Brewing Company, which anchors the post-race well. There is beer and soda waiting at the end, and the brewery setting gives the finish area a natural gathering point rather than a parking-lot feel.
