About the 3rd Annual Santa's Reindeer Run - 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon
The course runs along Bolsa Chica State Beach, so you get ocean air and a flat coastal path the whole way. Several distance options mean the morning draws people at very different paces, and a family dash and a costume contest keep the atmosphere loose. Santa is at the start and the finish for photos, which sets the tone early.
Parking is inside the state beach lot, with a fee paid by card at the gate. Drive to the far end after entering and you will find the start area near the lot closest to Warner Avenue. A drop-off spot at that intersection works if you skip the lot, and free public parking is available nearby behind a fast-food spot on the highway.
