About the San Jacinto Texas Independence Fun Run
The course runs through the San Jacinto Battleground, the historic site where Texas won its independence. The terrain is open and largely flat, and the surroundings make it feel like more than an ordinary road race. Several distance options are available, and strollers are welcome as long as they start toward the back.
Packet pickup happens inside the Monument in the days before the race, with the entrance facing the reflection pool. On race morning, the roads into the battleground close before the first wave goes off because those roads are part of the course itself, so build in extra time to get parked and reach the start line.
