About the Salute to Veterans 5K/10K/Half Marathon
The race is held at Goose Gossage Park and is built around honoring military service. The courses are out-and-back routes over terrain that is mostly flat with only gentle variation, making for quick times. Several distance options give runners a choice of how far to go, and the pace requirement is generous enough to welcome walkers as well.
Registration opens on race morning ahead of the start. Veterans run free with a government-issued military ID, and active duty members pay a reduced rate. Post-race awards cover overall, masters, grand masters, senior masters, and age group finishers across every distance.
