About the Colorado Springs Marathon, Half, 5K, and Kids K
The course starts and finishes at the Pioneers Museum, heading west before dropping into America the Beautiful Park and then north along a greenway trail into the park beyond. The surface shifts as you go, moving from cement to packed gravel to pavement, and the return leg retraces the same path back.
The start and finish area is anchored by the museum on Vermijo, so the post-race scene has a clear center. The route is out-and-back, which means you will recognize the terrain on the way home, and the park sections offer some shelter from the street.
