About the Salado VFW Auxiliary 12235 Turkey Trot Fun Run
The course starts at a pavilion in Liberty Park and follows a creek hike-and-bike trail from there. Dogs are welcome and can compete alongside their owners as an official team entry. The race raises money for veteran and active-duty support programs, and a canned food drive for a local ministry runs alongside it, with donated goods earning raffle tickets.
Packet pickup happens the weekend before the race at locations announced closer to the date, and again on race morning at the Western Pavilion near the Belton Christian Youth Center. Raffles are drawn later in the day, and you need to be present to win.
