About the Running Scared 5K/13K - Richland
The course runs along the river on a paved trail, starting and finishing at Kiwanis Park. The terrain is flat throughout, which makes it well-suited for anyone chasing a fast effort. Self-serve water stations are spaced out along the route, so runners who do not want to slow down may want to carry their own hydration.
Race-morning check-in opens an hour before the start, right at the park. If an earlier pickup window gets added, organizers post it ahead of time. The start area at the park gives everyone a clear home base for the morning.
