About the Running Scared 5K/13K - Lakeland
The course runs along a creek on a paved trail, starting and finishing in Jamison Park. The terrain is flat, which makes it quick underfoot. Several distance options are on offer, including a combination entry that links the shorter and longer routes back to back.
Race-morning check-in opens an hour before the first wave. If an earlier pickup window becomes available, the organizers add it to the event page. The start area is in the park, so there is a defined gathering spot before things get moving.
