About the Running Scared 5K/13K - Dawsonville
The course runs inside Rock Creek Park and stays flat throughout, with no real elevation change. Spectators can follow along easily, and the open park setting lets you see other runners around you. Self-serve water stations are spaced along the route, so if you are chasing a personal best, carrying your own water lets you skip the stops without breaking stride.
Packet pickup opens race morning, about an hour before the first wave goes off. Registration stays open through the morning as well, so there is no need to scramble the night before.
