About the 2026 Running Free 5K
The course runs through Credit Island Park, a flat stretch along the river that tends to attract runners chasing a fast time. The park setting keeps things open and the route is straightforward, which makes it easy to focus on running. Proceeds go to a local organization that supports refugees and immigrants resettling in the area.
Packet pickup runs the afternoon before the race at the World Relief office in Davenport, with a second window on race morning at the park. Both options are clearly laid out, so there is no real reason to scramble when you arrive.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The 2026 Running Free 5K has been held every year since at least 2024. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
