About the Running for Water for Africa 5K

The course starts and finishes near the beach at a pavilion, with roads that stay mostly flat through the surrounding neighborhood. There is one short climb early on, and then the route opens up along scenic coastal streets. Fall foliage is usually coming in by race day, which makes the surroundings worth looking at between effort.

Parking is available in the beach lot right at the start. The morning opens with a kids run before the main event, and snacks, water, and a raffle with gift certificates to local restaurants follow the finish.
