About the RunAbilities FUN Walk/Run/Roll
The course runs through Cottonwood Park West, a fully accessible route designed so that walkers, runners, wheelchair users, and cyclists can all move at their own pace. The atmosphere is built around sensory-friendliness, so the event avoids the intensity of a typical race morning. Music, a petting zoo, vendors, and refreshments round out the day.
The event is organized by Parker Recreation alongside Square Peg Therapies, and proceeds support a scholarship program that helps people with disabilities and limited financial resources access local recreation. Friends, family, and caregivers are welcome on course, so it draws a broad mix of participants rather than just competitive runners.
