About the Run with the Cops
This one takes place at McCormick Park during National Night Out, so the race itself is short, a quick sprint through the park rather than a distance event. Local officers run alongside participants, which gives the whole thing a different feeling than a typical road race. There is a donut station at the finish.
The event is part of a much larger evening in the park, with first responder vehicles to explore, a live DJ at the bandshell, a petting zoo, a splash area for kids, and free hot dogs. It is worth arriving early and planning to stay well after the run.
