About the Run Through The Decades 6K/7K/8K/Half - St. George

The race is built around a decades theme, with shorter distances dedicated to different eras and a half marathon option that strings all the shorter courses together into one continuous effort. The courses share terrain rather than running separate routes, so the half is a cumulative journey through the same ground covered in stages.

Water is available at self-serve stations along the way, spaced out across each course. If you are running hard and do not want to break stride, bringing your own hydration is worth considering. Registration and packet pickup open race morning at the start site before all distances go off together.

Common Questions About the Run Through The Decades 6K/7K/8K/Half - St. George

Will I finish last at the Run Through The Decades 6K/7K/8K/Half - St. George?

Almost certainly not. Half the 13.1 Miles field finished slower than 2:07:24, and the last recorded finisher came in around 3:00:23, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Run Through The Decades 6K/7K/8K/Half - St. George a good first 13.1 Miles?

It is a small race (36 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 13.1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Run Through The Decades 6K/7K/8K/Half - St. George?

The 13.1 Miles winner ran 1:23:56 while the median finisher took 2:07:24. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
