About the Run Through History 5k
The route starts and finishes at a park on Lafayette Street and moves through the historic streets on roads that pass Victorian mansions, old hotels, a firemen's museum, a church, a memorial park for soldiers and sailors, and a site connected to Harriet Tubman. The streets are relatively flat, and the architecture is close enough to the course that you are reading plaques in your head while you run.
Packet pickup runs weekday mornings and afternoons during the week before the race at an address on Ocean Street. On race morning, pickup opens at the start area. Parking is available at the elementary school a short walk up Lafayette Street from the start.
