About the Run the Vineyards - Down the Shore 5K

The course runs mostly on paved roads around the winery, with a short stretch through the vineyard rows themselves. That section is the one runners talk about afterward, a brief detour where the vines are right beside you. The rest is flat enough that walkers and strollers handle it without trouble, though a patch or two of sandy ground on the property can slow things down.

Packet pickup happens race morning at a tent behind the winery, and parking is tight on site. Overflow lots at a couple of nearby schools add a short walk, so arriving early is worth it. After the race, a tapas kitchen opens and a live musician plays, and the winery pours wine at the finish.
