About the Run the Vineyards - White Horse 10K/5K

The course runs through vineyard rows and country roads outside Hammonton, so there is open sky and farmland for most of the route. The terrain is flat the whole way, which makes it a honest go for anyone chasing a time, and the winery grounds themselves are the backdrop for the start and finish.

Packet pickup happens race morning at a tent on-site, so there is no separate trip the day before. Afterward, the winery courtyard hosts a post-race party with live music, wine, and a wood-fired pizza food truck. Dogs are not allowed on the course, but leashed pets are welcome in the outdoor area.

Common Questions About the Run the Vineyards - White Horse 10K/5K

Will I finish last at the Run the Vineyards - White Horse 10K/5K?

Almost certainly not. Half the 10K field finished slower than 1:04:06, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:39:17, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Run the Vineyards - White Horse 10K/5K a good first 10K?

It is a small race (88 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 10K, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Run the Vineyards - White Horse 10K/5K?

The 10K winner ran 37:15 while the median finisher took 1:04:06. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
