About the Run The Town Pink 5K
The course runs along the waterfront near a beach and winds through downtown, starting and finishing at the Municipal Marina. It is a road race with a flat stretch by the water that gives you a sense of the town as you go. Runners are encouraged to wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness, and spectators tend to show up in it too.
There is a pre-race ceremony before the start, with a prayer honoring those affected by cancer. Bib pickup is available the morning of the race at the start area, with an earlier pickup option the evening before at the Marina on River Street. Same-day registration stays open until the race begins.
