About the Orchard Beach State Park 5k Run/Walk
The course runs through Orchard Beach State Park, starting at the trail parking area and moving through the outer loop before an out-and-back stretch and a final loop through the campground. Most of the route is groomed hiking trail, where roots and rocks keep you honest, with a shorter paved stretch through the campground near the end.
Proceeds from the race support Friends of Orchard Beach State Park, so the entry fee goes directly to the park. Post-race, there are snacks and drinks at the pavilion area.
