About the Run the Runway & Mutt Strut 5K
The course runs along the runway at Double Eagle II Airport, which means flat, wide-open pavement with big sky above and planes parked nearby. Dogs are welcome, and the animal welfare department brings adoptable dogs to the event, so expect some four-legged company along the route and at the finish.
Food trucks and an awards ceremony follow the race. The fundraiser benefits local animal welfare and an experimental aircraft association chapter, so the post-race area tends to draw people who stick around.
