About the Run the Runway 5k
This race is sponsored by a college aeronautical society and runs on or around an airfield, which gives it a setting you do not find at most local 5ks. The name leans into that, and the post-race gathering is held at Air Heritage, a spot connected to historic aircraft.
After finishing, runners head to Air Heritage for a casual celebration with light refreshments. Awards go to the top finishers across youth and adult categories, and the recognition happens there, so it has a bit of ceremony without dragging on.
