About the Rabid Raccoon 100

Brady's Run Park is the setting, and the course uses the terrain honestly: single-track trail winds through hills, crosses streams, and skirts the lake before meeting gravel road stretches. The markings are dense and reflective, which matters when some distance options start before dawn. Aid stations along the route carry hot and cold food, so there is real support across a long day or night out there.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at the park's recreation facility, with a race-morning option available at a significant extra charge, so arriving the day before is the practical move. The expo runs through the evening, leaving time to sort gear before an early start.

Common Questions About the Rabid Raccoon 100

Will I finish last at the Rabid Raccoon 100?

Almost certainly not. Half the 101K field finished slower than 16:39:57, and the last recorded finisher came in around 31:06:44, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Rabid Raccoon 100 a good first 101K?

It is a small race (199 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 101K, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Rabid Raccoon 100?

The 101K winner ran 10:06:14 while the median finisher took 16:39:57. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
