About the Run the Rock
The race starts and finishes on Festival Street in downtown Janesville, right in front of the YMCA on S. River. Proceeds go to a foundation supporting children with cancer, so the cause is woven into the morning. Several distance options are offered, from a short kids' dash up through a full marathon.
Packet pickup the day before is at a local insurance agency on N. Wright Road. On race morning, pickup opens early at the start line. Downtown has a spread of public parking lots nearby, so finding a spot is not usually a scramble. Awards are handed out at the start and finish area as each distance wraps up.
