About the Run the River Ultra
Run the River Ultra follows the Virginia Capital Trail heading west, finishing at Low Line Beginning near the river. The trail is a dedicated path through a rural, historic corridor, and the course is point-to-point the whole way, so there is no looping back. Runners pick their distance and start from a different trailhead accordingly, each one farther out along the route.
There is no bib and no official timing, so you are running on your own clock. Runners handle their own transportation to the start, which is worth planning ahead since each starting point is a separate location. A portion of proceeds goes to the Virginia Capital Trail Foundation. Post-race, everyone converges at the same finish.
