About the Run The Green Wave 5k

The course runs on the Easley High School cross country layout, so most of it is grass with occasional pavement crossings. It finishes on the school track. That combination gives it a different feel from a road race, and the terrain rewards runners who do not mind softer ground underfoot.

Packet pickup is the evening before at the school's main office. Race-morning registration opens well before the start. A kids' mile goes off before the main race, so the morning has two waves and the energy around the start area reflects that.
