The course runs on the Doodle Trail, a paved rail trail that stays flat the whole way out and back. It starts and finishes at a church on Rice Road, so the crowd is anchored in one spot and you pass familiar faces at the turnaround. Proceeds benefit a local charitable organization, which gives the morning a clear sense of purpose.
