About the Run Like the Dickens 2026
The course runs along the beach at Main Beach, out to a tree and back. It is not chipped, so the focus is on the morning rather than the clock. Costumes are encouraged, and the T-Rex troop is a regular presence on the course. Dogs and kids are both welcome.
Check-in and registration open before the race at the Sandbar Amelia Island, which is also where the post-race awards happen, along with a visit from Santa. The snack shack opens early with a breakfast sandwich and a choice of hot chocolate or coffee, and the restaurant follows with brunch shortly after the race wraps up.
