About the Run for the Ta Tas

The format here is the hook: women go first, men chase them down, and whoever crosses first wins regardless of gender. The course starts and finishes at an outdoor town center shopping area, so the surroundings are familiar and the crowd is right there. A shorter untimed distance runs alongside the main race for anyone not chasing a clock.

Packet pickup runs the two evenings before the race at a pair of local running stores. On race morning, registration opens early at the start area. After the race, there is food from a local restaurant, craft beer, and live music in the finish area.

Common Questions About the Run for the Ta Tas

Will I finish last at the Run for the Ta Tas?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3.1 Miles field finished slower than 31:16, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:14:57, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Run for the Ta Tas a good first 3.1 Miles?

A field of 647 is big enough that you will have company at your pace without feeling lost in a crowd. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3.1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Run for the Ta Tas?

The 3.1 Miles winner ran 16:41 while the median finisher took 31:16. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
