About the Run for the Schools
The race starts and finishes at a community recreation center in Iowa City, with shorter untimed fun runs going off first and the chip-timed distances following later in the morning. The post-race party moves to a nearby park, so there is somewhere to settle in after you finish. Proceeds go to local public and Catholic school districts.
Packet pickup runs the day before at the recreation center's lower level gym, and someone else can grab your bag if that is easier. Strollers are welcome on course, though dogs are not. Parking ramps are within walking distance at a couple of nearby street corners.
