About the 2026 Run for Refugees 5k
The course runs through Miracle Park in Durham, a flat route that works for a range of paces. The race is organized by a local resettlement organization, and the gathering has that character to it: people who know the mission tend to show up, and the post-race area includes small vendors and local businesses brought in to fill out the morning.
Parking is available at the South Parking Deck at American Tobacco Campus, which is close to the start. Packet pickup details have not been announced yet, but more information is expected closer to race day.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The 2026 Run for Refugees 5k has been held every year since at least 2025. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
