About the Run for Freedom Obstacles 5K
The course runs a trail loop through Patriot Park, a route that is mowed and navigable underfoot. The obstacle version adds mud pits, a cold plunge, a pressure wall, monkey bars, and a handful of community-built popup structures along the way. Teams finish together, no one gets left behind, and if an obstacle is beyond you, burpees are the workaround, or you hand over your wristband and keep moving.
Packet pickup the evening before is at a resale shop run by the organizing ministry, with race-morning pickup also available at the park. The finish line area opens to the public and draws food trucks and health and wellness vendors. Spectators are welcome; a camp chair is worth bringing. Enter the park from the highway intersection, not the roads that close for the event.
