About the Run For Freedom 5K and 10K

The course is USATF-certified and starts at the Missouri Veterans Home, which gives the whole morning a particular weight. Residents of the home hand out awards to age-group winners themselves. Both a shorter and a longer distance are offered, and walkers are welcome on either route.

Proceeds support programs at the home directly, covering things like live music, outings around the state, and a weekly happy hour for residents. The start area is on the home's grounds.
