About the 2026 Rosko's Black Friday 1K
This one is a loop around the block, starting and finishing at Rosko's Brew House. The route is short enough that people carry their beers along for it, which tells you most of what you need to know about the pace and mood. Costumes are part of it, and prizes go to the fastest, the slowest, and the best dressed.
All proceeds go to a local foster and adoptive family organization called Dwell Orphan Care. The race falls the day after Thanksgiving, so the crowd skews toward people who overtreated themselves the night before and want a reason to be outside. There is beer at the finish, and the bar is the gathering place before and after.
