About the Pie Day 5k Run / Walk

This is a Thanksgiving morning race that starts and finishes at the Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce office. The course is a relatively short out-and-back or loop through downtown Williamsport. The race was founded by a local runner and has grown into an annual holiday tradition, with a portion of proceeds going to local cancer support organizations.

The start area is right at the Chamber office, so there is a clear home base for the morning. After the race, free food is out for everyone, and pies go to category winners. There is also a post-race raffle, which gives people a reason to stick around after they finish.
