About the Roseanna’s Run
Roseanna's Run is a memorial race held in honor of a woman whose life was cut short by domestic violence. The event raises awareness for that cause, and proceeds go toward a local crisis intervention center and the college funds of the woman's daughters. There are a couple of distance options, one a short walk or run, the other longer.
Race morning opens with breakfast at what organizers call the Race Day Village, and there is a ticket raffle with winners drawn after the field finishes. The opening ceremony includes remarks before the race gets underway, making the start feel more like a gathering than a typical gun-and-go.
