The course runs on a paved multi-use trail through Lexington's East End neighborhood, starting at the intersection of Elm Tree Lane and Third Street. The route is flat throughout, which keeps the effort honest and the pace quick. The race kicks off the morning of the Roots & Heritage Festival, so there is already an event atmosphere building around you at the start.
