About the Rock the Block 2026

Rock the Block is organized by the Shine Bright Foundation and centers on supporting the autism and Down Syndrome community. The race is one piece of a longer afternoon block party, so the finish area stays busy well after the last runner is done. Awards go to top finishers overall and across a wide spread of age groups.

After the race, food trucks and local vendors set up nearby, and there is a live DJ and bounce houses for kids. The event runs for several hours, so there is time to hang around, and families tend to stick close to the finish rather than head home right after.
