About the Rescue Run 5K

The Rescue Run is put on by The Invictus Project, a local organization focused on child protection. The course runs through Bicentennial Park in Asheboro. The race draws people who are connected to the cause, so the atmosphere is purposeful rather than purely competitive, and the crowd tends to reflect that.

Packet pickup is available the day before at an office on North Cox Street, with a race-morning option at the park as well. Public parking is nearby on North Church Street, with overflow along North Street and at the county courthouse a short walk away.
